Royal Roads University is looking for employers to speak at upcoming events!
Our friends at Royal Roads University have a new amazing project! They are bringing together employers and students to help them gain a better sense of how we build our careers in the environmental sector. They are hosting two events in the coming weeks and are looking for organizations (businesses or non-profits) to come to speak with our students and discuss career advice and opportunities. They’d also love to hear about what your organization does for sustainability and climate action as it inspires the students.
Events:
- November 22nd at 4:00 pm (PDT) entirely online. They will bring 3-4 employers to engage with RRU students in a facilitated discussion. The Environmental Practice undergrad students will be looking to learn more from various organizations and network to find the ideal organization to work with for the field practice coming up in January 2024.
- December 4th RRU will be hosting its first Climate Week Conference. This event is primarily internal for their students, staff, and faculty. Still, there is an opportunity for businesses and non-profits to get involved on December 4th afternoon in a 90-minute career panel discussion with the graduate students. Feature your job offerings and meet with inspiring students.
These events will give you the opportunity to:
- Showcase your current and future job opportunities to RRU students- short-term (internship/practicum/project-based) and long-term career opportunities.
- Network and dialogue with students, and possibly find your future employees!
- Network with other organizations and build relationships
RRU has outstanding programs for working professionals, and their mature students (30-35 years on average) come from everywhere in the world with tons of experience and ideas. The events aim to discuss career opportunities in the environmental, sustainability, and climate action sectors.
